I Love to sew! I make a range of accessories (hats; brooches; purses etc.) using Irish tweed, linen and off-cuts or recycled pieces of other fabric to complement my range. I love the feel of natural fabrics and I hate waste. Some of my brooches are made from the smallest off-cuts, so I make each piece individually. I also like to sew waste pieces into random patchwork fabric which I use to make bags, hats and other gifts.
As a small child I had the best dressed dolls and I wove corn dolls from reeds and grasses. I have tried many different crafts over the years, but always come back to my love of sewing. I trained and worked as an Engineer in the UK, but I came to Ireland for a holiday in 1999 and I fell in love with it. I moved here in 2001 to raise my family and I live in Cloughjordan, county Tipperary.
